About Orbisica

Orbisica is an open encyclopedia of verified knowledge. Every article is built from a curated set of authoritative sources, and each factual claim is linked to the source that supports it before the article is published.

Orbisica does not publish from a model’s memory. Articles are produced with the assistance of language models, but a claim is only admitted when a cited, human-authored source supports it. Anything that cannot be supported is removed or rewritten.

The encyclopedia is maintained as structured data: articles, claims, citations, and the entities that connect them form a knowledge graph. This makes it possible to check, correct, and extend the content over time.

How articles are produced

Orbisica articles are drafted with the assistance of AI systems, then constrained by an evidence pipeline: sources are selected and ranked, claims are extracted and matched verbatim against those sources, and unsupported claims block publication. Orbisica does not claim that its articles are written by a human editorial board.
