Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy occupying most of the Arabian Peninsula. Unified in 1932 by Abdulaziz Al Saud, it is the custodian of Islam's two holiest cities, Mecca and Medina, and one of the world's largest oil producers. Its economy and society have been reshaped in recent years by the reform program of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while its heritage — from the Al-Ahsa Oasis to the annual Hajj — remains central to its identity.
